Welcome to TCMOCA!

Our new name is the Twin Cities Museum of Contemporary Art. We were previously organized under the Twin Cities Museum of Modern Art.

Our new site TCMOCA.ORG is under construction. Thank you for your patience.

The mission of the Twin Cities Museum of Contemporary Art (TCMOCA) is to promote the understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary art, architecture, design, and visual culture, and to engage its audience through educational programs, special exhibitions, publications, conservation, research initiatives, and new technology. The Museum seeks to engage a diverse range of audiences while participating in appropriate activities of national and international significance. In furtherance of the public interest, and of public health, the Museum is committed to creating the first zero-energy museum that is LEED Certified, Platinum Level. A Zero-energy building is one that produces as much energy as it consumes. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.

The Twin Cities Museum of Contemporary Art is a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit charity legally organized as a Chapter 317A Nonprofit Corporation in Minnesota.
